CHEF DE PARTIE
Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience
Our Dovecote is an award winning two AA Rosettes restaurant. It was also recently voted Derby’s best ‘out of town’ restaurant. The restaurant features a la carte dishes in the finest in English and Continental cuisine.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join our team – one who is looking to progress. Previous experience in a rosette restaurant would be an advantage and this position would suit either an experienced Chef de Partie or someone who is looking for promotion into this role. It is essential that the Chef de Partie has creative culinary skills matched to an outgoing personality allowing them to make the most of the finest, freshest produce available – which is all locally sourced. You will be able to produce food of a consistently high standard, and be confident in all aspects of food preparation and service. You are required to have the willingness to learn from more experienced chefs as well as passing on knowledge to junior members of the team.
Other essential requirements of the Chef de Partie:
Previous experience in a restaurant environment
Experience working with fresh food
A friendly and approachable persona is an absolute must. A good sense of humour is needed to mirror what can only be described as an ‘enjoyable’ vibe within the team
Up to date food hygiene and NVQ certificates
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work within a team
Driven and self-motivated
